Environmental Policy
Swissport
Swissport is committed to operating in an environmentally sympathetic way, whilst balancing the operational, health, safety and security requirements of the industry in which it operates.

Swissport will introduce an environmental management programme at each base and office.

Swissport will introduce an education strategy to develop employees’ awareness of environmental considerations in their working practices.

Swissport will continue to explore ways of improving its operation to reduce the impact which the business has on the environment.

Swissport will calculate its carbon footprint, using an independent assessor, monitor and publish its improvement with the aim of becoming carbon neutral by 2012. The use of financial carbon offset schemes will be used only as a last resort.

Swissport will work with all its customer airlines, airport authorities and suppliers to fulfil their own environmental policies where operational, health, safety and security requirements allow.

The company will comply with all environmental legislation and participate wherever possible in schemes by airports, customer airlines and suppliers to promote more environmental ways of working.
