250809 - Swissport advises on proposed industrial action at Gatwick, Manchester and Stansted Airports

The management of Swissport advises that the situation in respect of the proposed industrial action at Gatwick, Manchester and Stansted Airports, as at 1700hrs on Tuesday 25 August, is as follows:-
At Gatwick Airport, Swissport has been advised formally by Unite the Union that the industrial action scheduled for Thursday 27, Friday 28 and Saturday 29 August has been postponed. Swissport has not received formal confirmation of withdrawal of action and will continue to remain in full business continuity mode until the threat of industrial action is formally removed. Swissport will continue to keep its customers advised of the latest status.
At Manchester Airport, despite local rumours no information has been received from Unite the Union regarding the withdrawal of the industrial action due to take place on Saturday 29, Sunday 30 and Monday 31 August.
At Stansted no formal information regarding the industrial action ballots, that closed on Friday 21st August, has been received from either Unite the Union or the GMB. Despite reports to the contrary, Swissport has not been advised of any industrial action at Stansted Airport.
