Swissport UK has announced a number of senior management appointments following the arrival of Robin Dickie as Chief Executive Officer.

The appointments form part of a plan to strengthen the business in customer facing areas of Swissport.

Pauline McMichael has been appointed Interim Commercial Director with immediate effect. Pauline brings extensive commercial and general management experience in a number of areas, having spent 14 years with British Airways and, more recently, 11 years with BUPA, the UK’s leading private healthcare company.

"The commercial function is central to the success and development of Swissport UK.", Robin Dickie commented. "It is important that we maintain and develop strong relationships with customers and identify new commercial opportunities. To provide a greater focus on business development, Charles Galloway, has been appointed Senior Commercial General Manager. Charles is well known across the industry and our customers. To support the commercial operation, David Shields has been appointed Commercial General Manager. David has 17 years of industry experience working for Swissport and its predecessor companies. He is promoted from the role of Customer Service Manager at Swissport’s Newcastle station.

These appointments supplement Swissport's existing commercial support team comprising James Munro, Procurement Manager; Marie Flinter, Contract Controller and Adrian Robson, Cost and Planning Manager. "I am confident that these new appointments, supported by our existing team, will provide us with a strong platform to continue the improvement in our business.", Robin Dickie concluded.
